Our annual summer run returns for another morning of community cardio on Sunday 23rd July 2023.
As in previous years, there will be two separate fun run events on the day:
1k run for Juniors (10:30am)
5k run for Adults (10:45am)
Whether you want to challenge yourself by running against the clock, or you'd prefer a leisurely walk with friends, the run is open to everyone, as you take in the stunning scenery that Rivington has to offer.
Both runs start and finish at Rivington & Blackrod High School (BL6 7RU), and the fun begins at 10:30am. Every Junior finisher will receive a medal, plus there are additional prizes on the day.
With entry priced at just £5 per person, our annual fun run provides vital funds to support the club, ensuring that we can continue providing the very best experience for our 300+ members, most of whom live locally in Horwich and Blackrod, and play football in our 20+ junior and youth teams.

A FA Three Star England Accredited club offering the opportunity for everyone in our local community of Horwich, Blackrod and the surrounding Bolton areas to play sports. With over 300 members (and counting) our grassroots football teams range from U6s all the way through to open age for boys, girls, men and women. The club has over 20 years’ experience of providing a safe, rewarding and motivating environment for people of all ages to enjoy.
