Local Fundraiser: Elvis Night at Lostock Cricket Club - July 13th 2023

Calling all football fans... Elvis is in the building!

Lostock-based BBDFL youth footballer and referee, George, has been given a scholarship to play football for Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky next season. The scholarship, whilst generous, doesn't cover all the costs that George will incur in his first year in the 'states, so his friends and family have arranged a fundraising evening on Thursday 13th July in an attempt to raise the rest of the funds George needs to go and pursue his football dream.

The Elvis-themed night was chosen because George has been placed near Memphis, with popular tribute artiste Marcus Hallows donning his blue suede shoes for what promises to be an memorable evening of Elvis classics and fundraising fun.

Fundraising activities will take place throughout the evening, including an auction for:

• A signed (and authentically muddied) Neil Danns Bolton Wanderers Shirt

• Amir Khan hand wraps

• A signed Lancashire Cricket bat

The event is taking place on Thursday 13th July 2023 at Lostock Cricket Club (19:00-23:00) and the ticket price includes food, courtesy of a classic Lancashire dish, Pastie & Peas!

100 Club - Sporting Collectibles Raffle

In addition to the Elvis night, the family is also raffling off a huge range of sporting collectibles, at just £5 per ticket.

Anybody can buy a ticket for the raffle (you do not have to attend the Elvis night to be involved in this one).
