Old Rivingtonians Sports Club's U11 football team has been raising money for Derian House Children's Hospice.
Each of the lads was asked to choose a sponsorship challenge, in exchange for some additional winter training gear (complete with the Derian House logo). Some of the initial ideas ranged from having an ice bath, to climbing the 3 peaks!
Some of the lads then decided to team-up to complete their charity challenges:
TEAM 1
Josh, Callum and Nathan decided to run their first ever 10k (in the middle of December), which they completed in just over 1 hour, raising over £1,100 in the process.

TEAM 2
Dan, Gabe, Jack, Seb and Seth chose to do a triathlon - a 200 metre swim, 10k bike ride and 5k run (again in the middle of December). Their team mates from the 10k on the previous day also decided to join them for the 5k run! Team 2 raised over £1,300.

We're really proud to announce that in total the Old Rivingtonians U11s have raised over £3,000 for Derian House Children's Hospice. Derian House provides respite and end-of-life care to more than 450 children and young people across the North West.
